P108 Early Electric Milk Glass Pendant

$950.00

This piece is a dressy version of your classic schoolhouse pendant. The fixture has a cast metal tassel, and a ring with four exposed bulbs on the sides. This fixture dates from a time when electricity was still exciting enough that you wanted to show off your bulbs! A milk glass pendant shade is then finished with a brass tassel. We recommend using round bulbs for the exposed bulbs, and to reduce glare, a white bulb or a silvered bulb can be used. Rewired for use in the US. The interior bulb is wired for 150 Watt max, and the exterior for 60 watt max. Brass has been polished and protected from tarnishing, it shows some signs of age through small dents and superficial cracking to the brass, as shown in the detail photo. This fixture is pretty from all angles and from above, so is an excellent choice for a stairwell. American, C. 1920. 34″ minimum overall drop, 26″ fixture only.
