Late 19th Century Art Nouveau Aged Gilt Gas Table Lamp with Glass Shade

This Lamp was originally made for gas – the gas jet has been replaced with pull chain socket.  It has a square base with swirling art nouveau styled design, and a squared column.  Made in the USA, Circa 1880.  The glass is traditional and classic, frosted with a cut floral grape design.  In very good condition, the original gilt finish, visible from the bottom, has been aged and worn over the years.  It has been cleaned and wax polished to protect and give a light sheen.  Rewired, with a reconditioned socket.
