C431 19th Century Rococo French Gilt Wood Chandeliers – a Pair

19th Century Rococo French Gilt Wood Chandeliers – a Pair. These are large chandeliers, 42” in diameter and 47” in Height, and are suitable for a truly palatial space. Ornate and organic in form, with arms swooping in a twisting fashion around the stem, and scroll work decorating the stem. Twelve arms, each taking a candelabra size socket. The arms loop and twist around themselves with leafy decoration, and at times narrowing to a delicate tubular shape. The arms are capped by lights, with alternating floral bobeches. Six ornate scrolls surround the stem. Includes cast gilt bronze canopies that match and are likely from an earlier restoration. These are sold as is, and are in fair condition. These have been wired, but will need to be rewired before use. Some of the arms have been bent, and the gilt finished cracked, missing in small areas, and chipped. The first chandelier has one scroll that has come loose, the second chandelier has one missing scroll and one scroll that has come loose. France, Late 19th Century.
