19th century Henry Hooper gilt bronze rococo sconces, originally gas. The arms and glass holders are dripping with grapes and entwined by grape leaves. This is an example of the finest castings of Gilded Era America. Originally gas, Electrified. Original fitters take a 2 ⅝” shade, a common size from 1840-1880. From the Jamaica Plain Cottage of Dr. Warren, famous for being the first surgeon to use ether for anesthesia in surgery at Mass General. Completely restored and UL listed. Rococo style. Also available: matching chandelier, C104. Has been completely restored and rewired. In excellent condition, ready to install.
